First time I googled an email address from a craigslist reply and I'm glad I found this. I got the following message:

I knew right away it was a scam,
they wrote

I thought it was someone collecting email addresses to sell, so I searched the return address and found your wonderful web sight.
Here is some fun I had with one of these butts:
I played the part of a foolish home owner and kept asking them to explain how to send the money over and over again, it went on for several weeks, it started to get to them and finally wrote, "will you just send the money and get this over with" but I kept jerking them on.
Finally they sent me that fake check, via ups and I wrote them,
"There is no sweeter reward then scamming a scammer, I only wish I could have beat you for more then the cost of the fake check and shipping.”

I don't understand the question, which leads me to believe an idiot or a crook or...both.

also received similar email from this address in response to a CL posting. Having prior CL experience I knew to look into things before blindly replying.
